       Orvan Guy "Pete" Sites Sr. age 84 of 15125 National Pike, Hagerstown, MD died peacefully surrounded by his family and friends on Friday, February 17, 2012 at Julia Manor Nursing Home in Hagerstown, MD.

     

     Born October 18, 1927 in Kline, WV., he was a son of the late Floyd Eston Sites and Merle (Smith) Sites.

  

     He was a member of the Brake Church of the Brethren of Dorcas, WV.   He was last employed by Leroy Myers Sr. Building Company for over forty years and previously with the late W.H. VanMeter and Son of Petersburg, WV and for John Corbett of Clear Spring, MD.

 

     He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary Dell (Ours) Sites

 

One son:  Orvan "Petie" Sites Jr. and wife Jennifer of Hagerstown, MD

 

  One grandson:  Mark Sites of Hagerstown, MD

 

Two sisters:  Twila May of Maysville, WV and Evelene Kesner of Petersburg, WV

 

Three brothers:  Arthur Sites and Johnny Sites both of Rough Run, WV and Jim Sites of

                        Petersburg, WV.

 

       Funeral Services will be held on Thursday 2:00 p.m. (Feb 23rd) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV with Rev. Craig Howard officiating.  Burial will be in the Brake Cemetery in Dorcas, WV.

 

    The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.

 

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brake Cemetery, c/o Justin Thorne, 17 South Main Street, Petersburg, WV  26847.
