David Paul Thorne, age 69, formerly of Dorcas, WV died Sunday, Oct 17, 2010 at Nella's Nursing Home, Elkins, WV. He was born November 25, 1940 in Rough Run, WV and was the son of the late William Ervin Thorne and Eula Mae (Sites) Thorne. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ottie "Sis" Whetzel and an infant sister; one brother, Junior W. Thorne. SURVIVING his wife, Eva Jean (Whetzel) Thorne of Moorefield, WV Two sons: Jimmy Paul Thorne and wife Crystal of Moorefield, WV Donnie Edward Thorne of Moorefield, WV One daughter: Debra Jean Riggleman and husband Scottie of Fisher, WV One sister: Mary Elizabeth Whetzel, resident of Grant County Nursing Home Four grandchildren Funeral service will be Wednesday 12 Noon (Oct 20th) at Schaeffer Funeral Home with Jimmy Paul Thorne,his son officiating. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of services at Noon Wednesday.
