Lydia Annette (Kessel) Brennan, age 92 of Arthur, WV died Sunday, Oct 17, 2010 in Grant Memorial Hospital. She was born June 21, 1918 in Hardy County, WV and was the daughter of the late George W. Kessel and Minnie (McDonald) Kessel. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Noah W. Brennan, April 6, 1980, six sisters: Mary VanFleet, Myrtle Sites, Grace Foley, Daisy Cornell, Georgie Rohrbaugh and Wilma Raum; three brothers: Otto, Frank and Russell Kessel. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. SURVIVING: Seven sons: Noah W. Brennan Jr. of Streets, MD George H. Brennan and wife Cameo of Quinton, OK Michael L. Brennan and wife Amy of Lahmansville, WV John D. Brennan and wife Sharon of Petersburg, WV Leonard E. Brennan and wife Brenda of Dorcas, WV Russell A. Brennan and wife Cynthia of Arthur, WV Gregory L. Brennan and fiancee Tonya of Moorefield, WV Five daughters: Maxine L. Turner and husband Norman of Petersburg, WV Barbara A. Schell of Fredericksburg, VA Linda S. Mallow and husband Eston of Cabins, WV Marlene F. Martin of Dorcas, WV Darlene K. Brooks and husband Leroy of Maysville, WV 30 Grandchildren, 35 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren Several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday 6-9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Funeral service will be Tuesday 11 a.m. (Oct 19th) Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Ted Anderson officiating.
